ST. PETERSBURG, November 7 (Itar-Tass) —— Prime Minister Vladimir Putin believes that the commissioning of the Bushehr nuclear power plant will allow Iran to save more natural gas for export.
He congratulated Iran on the successful launch of the nuclear power plant.
“It was a big a long job that ended successfully,” Putin said at a meeting of the Council of the Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) on Monday, November 7.
“I believe that this will be a serious contribution to the resolution of Iran’s energy problem. Iran is, in turn, is a major gas exporter, and additional power capacities related to atomic generation could save a part of gas for bigger export,” Putin said.
