MOSCOW, November 7 (Itar-Tass) —— President Dmitry Medvedev has signed into law a bill on 2.5-threefold pay rise to servicemen as of January 1, 2012, Medvedev declared at a meeting with Russian top brass held in the Kremlin on Monday.
The law guarantees the effectiveness of our armed forces, Medvedev declared. The law will not drain blood from our budget; all the payments will have been made, Medvedev said.
"Enacting the bill the state has proved that a decision voiced once is subject to implementation, especially if the social welfare of our people depends on it," Medvedev added.
