Lavrov calls on West to strictly abide by UN SC decisions on Mideast

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has called on the West “without inventions” to abide by decisions of the UN Security Council on the Middle East and North Africa

MOSCOW, November 7 (Itar-Tass) — Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has called on the West “without inventions” to abide by decisions of the UN Security Council on the Middle East and North Africa.

“The situation in the Middle East and North Africa requires special attention,” he said at the talks with his Irish counterpart Eamon Gilmore after the talks in Moscow on Monday. “We are convinced that as concerns the role of external forces, there should be a single criterion: everybody should comply with the norms of the international law and first of all, provisions of the UN Charter and accurately, without any inventions, fulfill the UN Security Council’s decisions.”
