Over 100 WWII shells spotted in Vilnius international airport

The airport however operated in a regular regime, since the repair works were carried out away from the runway

VILNIUS, November 6 (Itar-Tass) —— More than 100 WWII shells were spotted in the international airport of the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius on Saturday.

The munitions, 112 artillery shells, were spotted when repair works were done in the airport. The shells were taken out from the airport to be rendered harmless.

The airport however operated in a regular regime, since the repair works were carried out away from the runway.
