MOSCOW, November 5 (Itar-Tass) — Moscow police detained teenagers, professing right-wing radical views, who are suspected of car arson, Itar-Tass learnt at the press service of the Moscow police department.
Moscow police received a signal on November 4 at 06.00 that a Mercedes car burst in flames in the Voronezhskaya Street. The car burnt out fully. Besides, flames leaped to two more cars standing nearby.
“According to testimonies of eyewitnesses of the crime, police nabbed a supposed arsonist. The young man confessed to the crime,” the press service said. Policemen detained soon three more supposed arsonists.
All the four, including two minors, and a girl study at a polygraphic college; three stated that they profess right-wing views. “One of them proposed “punishing” a neighbour at their house, and other backed this idea. A girl had a liquid for kindling charcoal, with which they sprinkled the car and then set fire to it,” the police department noted.
The press service reported that the girl was arrested only on Friday evening, since she participated in a demonstration of nationalists in Lyublino, a Moscow suburb.
A criminal case was instituted in connection with the arsons. “Policemen seized mobile phones from the suspects with video clips of arsons,” the police department noted. “The suspects are now being checked on complicity in committing similar crimes in the Russian capital. The Southern Borough alone instituted this year 38 criminal cases on arsons.
