Inflation in Russia in October 0,4 prc, slightly over 5 prc since start of year

Inflation since the beginning of the year is 5.1 percent, according to the Federal Service for State Statistics

MOSCOW, November 2 (Itar-Tass) —— Inflation in Russia in the week of October 25-31was 0.2 percent and 0.4 percent in the whole month of October.

Inflation since the beginning of the year is 5.1 percent, according to the Federal Service for State Statistics.

In the past week, the price of whole frozen fish increased by 0.6 percent; mutton, cheese, eggs, milk, caramel, chocolate candies and domestically-distilled vodka by 0.3-0.4 percent.

The price of millet decreased by 2.9 percent, granulated sugar by 0.8 percent, buckwheat by 0.6 percent, wheat flour, vermicelli, sunflower seen oil and chicken by 0.1-0.2 percent.

Fruit and vegetable prices dropped by 0.6 percent on the whole, including onions by 1.3 percent, potatoes and carrots by 0.9 percent and 0.7 percent respectively.

Petrol prices rose by 0.2 percent, diesel fuel by 1.1 percent.

In September 2011, consumer prices in Russia increased compared to deflation in August.
