Russia insists on the investigation of all facts of human rights violations against the Serbs in Kosovo

MOSCOW, November 1 (Itar-Tass) — Russia insists on the investigation of all facts of human rights violations against the Serbs in Kosovo, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s envoy on human rights, democracy and the supremacy of law, Konstantin Dolgov, told a news conference on Tuesday. “Over the past several months the situation in the region’s north has been aggravating,” he said. “The international presence in Kosovo reacts to the outburst of hatred not always adequately and impartially. The human rights violations in the region are systematic.” The diplomat explained that the talk is about regular intimidation and exertion of pressure on the Serbs and discriminatory attitude towards the Serbian sacred sites. “The provocative actions of the Kosovo-Albanian authorities destabilise the situation,” Dolgov said. “We insist on the investigation of all facts of human rights violations in Kosovo, including the investigation of the trade in human organs.”
