MOSCOW, October 30 (Itar-Tass) —— Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has congratulated incumbent and veteran drivers on their professional holiday, the Day of Automobile Transport Workers.
“Automobile transport, a key strategic branch of the national economy, plays a huge role in the development of the industrial and technological potential of the country and inter-regional and international relations. Uninterrupted motor traffic also has an important social significance,” he said.
“Automobile transport workers are solving vast tasks, such as higher quality and competitiveness of transport services, increased traffic and infrastructural modernization. Modernization of vehicles for their compliance with modern standards of security, reliability and environmental friendliness deserves the biggest attention,” he said.
“Your experience, traditions and substantial state support will help you achieve these goals,” Putin concluded.
