Fire kills two Muscovites

The fire started in a flat on the ninth floor of a 12-storey building in Shumilov Street

MOSCOW, October 30 (Itar-Tass) —— Two people died in fire which occurred in a house in south-east of Moscow on Saturday, Head of EMERCOM’s pres service Yevgeny Bobylev said.

The fire started in a flat on the ninth floor of a 12-storey building in Shumilov Street.

“The area of the fire was 35 square metes,” he said.

Two women died in the fire.

Fire fighters rescued seven people from upper floors, including a child who was taken to hospital.

Presently, the fire is extinguished, he added. Investigators find out what has caused the fire.
