MOSCOW, October 29 (Itar-Tass) —— More than two billion roubles will be additionally allocated for Russia’s constituencies to support economically important programmes on the development of industry and processing from the federal budget this year. This was announced at a meeting of the commission of the Ministry of Agriculture for selecting programmes which was held under the chairmanship of Minister of Agriculture Yelena Skrynnik on Saturday.
According to her, such a decision was adopted in connection with the fact that corresponding programmes have proved their high efficiency.
At present, the ministry has already earmarked six federal billions for support of 100 regional branch programmes in four directions: development of livestock farming (44 programmes); dairy-farming (30 programmes); development of traditional sub-branches of agricultural production (17 programmes), as well as development of agricultural, processing and supply and sale production (9 programmes).
Another more than 10 economically important programmes for the development of industry and processing were approved at Saturday’s meeting. The main criteria for their selection included an annual four-percent growth of profits from the sale of agricultural produce (in prices of the previous year) at least, as well as the creation of new jobs.
