ULAN-UDE, October 29 (Itar-Tass) —— Regular air communication has opened between the Buryatian capital - - Ulan-Ude and Bangkok on Saturday. “A liner Boeing-757 with 220 passengers on board of the air company NordWind flew from the international airport Baikal of Ulan-Ude according to schedule,” ITAR-TASS learnt at the directorate of the airport Baikal.
Residents of Buryatia bought tours to Thailand with the flight from Ulan-Ude very actively. The last vouchers with the flight on October 29 were sold a week ago. Despite the fact that the Republican Tourist Agency didn’t recommend Buryatian residents to visit Thailand, where the flood is raging now, there were no mass refusals from tours.
The air company NordWind intends to carry out Ulan-Ude - - Bangkok flights once in 13 days. The air company Yakutia also announced its plans to open the route to Thailand from Buryatia until the end of the current year. Earlier, tourists of Buryatia got to popular resorts in Thailand via Irkutsk and Moscow.
