Gaddafi’s son reportedly hides in Niger

Saif al-Islam appears to be trying to hand himself in to the International Criminal Court at The Hague, but the official said he had not yet found a way to do so

LONDON, October 28 (Itar-Tass) —— Muammar Gaddafi’s son Saif al-Islam fears for his life in Libya and crossed the border into Niger, Reuters reported on Thursday quoting an unnamed senior official in Libya’s National Transitional Council.

Saif al-Islam appears to be trying to hand himself in to the International Criminal Court at The Hague, but the official said he had not yet found a way to do so.

“There is a contact with Mali and with South Africa and with another neighboring country to organize his exit ... He hasn't got confirmation yet, he's still waiting,” Reuters quoted the official as saying.
