MOSCOW, October 26 (Itar-Tass) —— Skolkovo Foundation President Viktor Vekselberg called for revising the existing system of energy tariff regulation because it provides no stimuli for using energy efficient technologies.
“Tariff regulation does not create stimuli for introducing energy efficient technologies,” Vekselberg said at a meeting of the presidential Commission on Modernisation and Technological Development of the Economy on Wednesday, October 26.
“This issue must be addressed,” he said, adding that its resolution would have serious social effects and might help reduce costs not only in the energy but also in other sectors.
