STAVROPOL, October 25 (Itar-Tass) —— The government will introduce restrictive duties on grain exports exceeding 24-25 million tonnes this year, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin told agrarians on Tuesday.
“Grain exports will amount to approximately 24-25 million tonnes this year, after that certain restrictions will be made for ensuring grain reserves for next year,” he said.
“Exporters must listen to us and abstain from signing excessive export contracts so that they do not attempt bigger exports under this pretext in the future,” he said.
“We can export 24-25 million tonnes of grain. After that export duties will grow to regulate prices on the domestic market,” he said.
