Ex-Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov will be questioned as a witness to the Moscow government’s acquisition of Bank of Moscow shares for 15 billion rubles in 2009

MOSCOW, October 25 (Itar-Tass) —— Ex-Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov will be questioned as a witness to the Moscow government’s acquisition of Bank of Moscow shares for 15 billion rubles in 2009, a source at the Russian Interior Ministry Investigation Department told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.

The ex-mayor is called as a witness to testify in the criminal case of former head of the Financial Assistant Private Company whose deal deprived the Bank of Moscow and the Moscow government of the controlling stake in the Capital Insurance Group and the Bank of Moscow sustained a damage of more than 1.7 billion rubles.
