YEKATERINBURG, October 25 (Itar-Tass) —— The emergency landing of the passenger plane A-320 on the flight from Yekaterinburg to Frankfurt was smoke in the cockpit, the press service of the Russian Investigative Committee's Ural transport investigative department told Itar-Tass.

"Today, at about 05:45 Moscow time, a passenger A-320-200 of the Lufthansa airline, which was on a Yekaterinburg-Frankfurt flight, made an emergency landing at Perm's Bolshoye Savino airport. The cause of the landing was smoke in the cockpit. Aboard the plane were 116 passengers, including a child, and six crewmembers," the source said

After the landing, the passengers and the crew left the plane, and they were examined by medics. Nobody of the people aboard was hurt, the Russian Emergencies Ministry's Perm department said.

An inquiry into the incident is underway. Investigators have arrived at the site.

Under consideration in the Lufthansa company now is how to transport the passengers from Perm, a Rosaviatsia source said.
