Teenager killed in a brawl in Moscow, suspect nabbed

An 18-year-old Muscovite admitted his guilt and said that the conflict flared up over an insignificant reason

MOSCOW, October 23 (Itar-Tass) — A detainee, nabbed on a suspicion of killing a 16-year old teenager in south-western Moscow, an 18-year-old Muscovite admitted his guilt and said that the conflict flared up over an insignificant reason, Itar-Tass learnt from the Moscow branch of the Russian Investigation Committee.

“The reason for the conflict was a trifling thing. Following a dispute, two groups of teenagers – residents of this district – agreed to meet in the Novye Cheryomushki Street to thrash out misunderstandings,” reported a representative of the Moscow investigation branch.

“As the detainee put it, boys started beating him and he whipped out a knife with which he started stabbing his attackers. He admitted his guilt and repented,” the representative said.

On Saturday at 19.00 a 16-year-old teenager was killed as a result of a brawl between two groups of youngsters, numbering 20 in the Novocheremushki Street. He was knifed into the heart. Two other boys with knife wounds were hospitalised. The place of the incident was visited by chief of the main department of the Russian Interior Ministry for Moscow Vladimir Kolokoltsev.
