TVER, October 22 (Itar-Tass) — President Dmitry Medvedev demanded law enforcement agencies fight corruption, especially in the field of housing and public utilities, and complete every case by punishing abusers and monitor the efficiency of budgetary funds use.
The president recalled that earlier, he had give instructions to check the housing and public utilities system. The presidents insisted on checking the work of management companies and the use of citizens’ funds.
“The investigation into these cases should be completed. It is necessary to punish abusers and help monitor the efficient use of budgetary funds. This is related to all projects in the field of modernization. The fight against corruption remains one of the priority tasks of the Interior Ministry,” Medvedev said at a meeting with the leadership of the Interior Ministry on Saturday.
He noted that Tver also had problems in the field of housing and public utilities. There were delays, the president said.
He stressed that the problems emerged due to stealing in this sphere.
