MOSCOW, October 21 (Itar-Tass) —— The Interstate Aviation Committee (MAK) did not find any failures in the braking system of an airplane Yak-42, which crashed near Yaroslavl, the MAK said in a statement on Friday.
“All necessary stages in the investigation of the Yak-24 crash near Yaroslavl on September 7 are complete,” the MAK statement runs. “The wheel hubs, brakes and other units of the braking system, as well as the technical condition of the aircraft tires underwent a special examination,” the statement said. “The state-run center of air flight safety did not find any failures in the operation of the foresaid units,” the MAK statement reported.
The air crash outside Yaroslavl killed the main squad of the ice hockey team Lokomotiv that was about to fly to Minsk as well as the plane crew.
