Better tax management may bring extra revenues to RF budget - view

All basic decisions on social expenses were made several months earlier and the upcoming elections will not affect the expenses of the budget

MOSCOW, October 21 (Itar-Tass) — Over five years, Russia will be able to have several hundred billion roubles in additional revenues by improvement of tax management, Russia’s presidential aide Arkady Dvorkovich told a banking conference, organised by Alfa bank on Friday.

“I believe, we underestimate greatly the potential of stabilising the budget situation by improvement of tax management and improvement of budget expenses effectiveness without radical measures,” he said. “I think that even with the existing tax system the potential makes several hundred billion roubles.”

“We should realise clearly our limit /for expenses/, and to make priorities inside this limit,” he added.

All basic decisions on social expenses were made several months earlier and the upcoming elections will not affect the expenses of the budget, he said.

“Priorities of budget expenses are in place already,” he said.
