MOSCOW, October 20 (Itar-Tass) —— The Libyan people should decide on the fate of a toppled Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, who was captured on Thursday, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said.
“Libya should turn in a modern political country,” Medvedev said. “The Libyan people should decide on Gaddafi’s fate,” the Russian president added.
Muammar Gaddafi was captured near Sirte, the Qatari satellite news channel Al Jazeera reported on Thursday. The Al Jazeera correspondents are reporting from the scene that the field commanders of the Transitional National Council reported about Gaddafi’s capture that was not confirmed officially yet.
