KRASNOYARSK, October 20 (Itar-Tass) — All wildfires in Siberian regions have been put out by Thursday morning, but for the Trans-Baikal territory, where eight wildfires are still raging on an area of 535 hectares, a spokesman for the Siberian regional emergencies centre told Itar-Tass.
According to the spokesman, five out of the eight wildfires on an overall area of 495 hectares have been contained.
Fire fighting operations involve 1,317 rescuers, police officers and fire fighters, and 310 units of hardware. As many as 1,078 stationary and mobile posts have been installed to monitor the fire situation and limit access to forests.
