MOSCOW, October 19 (Itar-Tass) — The Interfax agency located in central Moscow suspended operation on Wednesday as a fire broke out in the building, an Interfax employee told Itar-Tass.
By now, the blaze has been extinguished in the building located in central Moscow's 1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya Street, the press service of the main department of the Emergency Situations Ministry for Moscow told Tass.
The cause of the fire is being ascertained.
The emergencies department said 30 people had been evacuated from the building. "There have been no casualties," an emergency official said.
Taking part in the fire-fighting operation were ten fire brigades.
