VLADIVOSTOK, October 19 (Itar-Tass) — A helicopter and divers have joined a search operation for a ten-year-old boy missing since October 16 in Russia’s Far Eastern city of Vladivostok, a spokesman for the Primorsky territory police department told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.

According to the spokesman, the helicopter will fly over forests, while six divers from the local rescue service will dive in bays in the area. As of now, search operations involve 60 men, including police with dogs and volunteers from among local residents. The operation continues in the night time as well.

The boy, Sergei Polyakov, was reported missing on October 16 in the vicinity of the Staklyannya Bay, where his family spent the weekend. It was established that the boy had no conflicts with either adults or other children.

Police think the boy might have been taken by a passing by car.
