MOSCOW, October 17 (Itar-Tass) — The chairman of the Investigative Committee (SK) ordered to hand over the case against the director of the Myski boarding school to the SK department for the Siberian Federal District, SK spokesman Vladimir Markin told Itar-Tass. The SK earlier said 26 children at the boarding school had died in the period from 2009 through 2011.
"Taking into account the public stir the crime has caused, and its grave consequences, the SK leadership decided to pass the criminal case to the SK department for the Siberian Federal District for further investigation.
"In addition, (SK chairman) Alexander Bastrykin ordered to set up a team comprising specialists from the SK central office and send it to the Kemerovo Region, to examine the criminal case materials, evaluate their completeness and objectivity and the legitimacy of the procedural decisions within the case," the spokesman said.
