9 killed in private house fire in Krasnoyarsk Territory

The cause of the fire is being ascertained

KRASNOYARSK, October 17 (Itar-Tass) — Nine people have been killed in a fire in a private house in the Nizhnyaya Poima settlement the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the press service of the Russian Emergencies Situations Ministry’s (EMERCOM) department for the Krasnoyarsk Territory reported on Monday.

“An eyewitness made an alarm call at 00:51 reporting a fire in a private house and outbuildings. When the first fire fighting team of the Fire Protection Service of the Krasnoyarsk Territory arrived art the scene the “private house and outbuildings at the total area of 180 square metres were ablaze. During the debris clearing the rescuers found at the fire scene the remains of nine people - four adults and five children,” according to the report.

A total of 38 specialists and 12 units of special equiment have been working at the scene. The cause of the fire is being ascertained.
