KRASNOYARSK, October 16 (Itar-Tass) — Chairman of the RGD Company Vladimir Yakunin said in Krasnoyarsk on Sunday that data on problems with grain haulage from Siberian regions are groundless.
“Data on existing problems with grain transportation from the Krasnoyarsk and the Altai territories as well as the Novosibirsk Region were phoney. The absence of critical problems was also confirmed by the main coal producer – the Kemerovo Region,” Yakunin said, adding that "it beats my imagination how these problems appeared at the level of the government leadership and the state”.
The head of the RGD Company arrived in the Siberian city on an instruction of premier Vladimir Putin so as to settle the problem of rail haulage as a whole on the example of Krasnoyarsk. Incidentally, the premier noted that many complaints on delays (with shipment of goods) from industrialists came in the recent past.
For instance their claims were expressed by agricultural producers and coalmen. For instance on October 11, Governor of the Kemerovo Region Aman Tuleyev reported at a video conference, devoted to the execution of instructions of the head of state, that 13 million tonnes of coal that started burning, were stockpiled at warehouses of the Kuznetsk Coal Basin.
The presidential press service said on Saturday that the RGD Company and the administration of the Kemerovo Region took necessary measures to ensure timely carriage of coal from the region. Governor of the Kemerovo Region Aman Tuleyev set up a regional headquarters to orchestrate processes of supplying empty wagons and their shipment.
The commission held a meeting on planning volumes of coal loading in October-November, taking into account technologies of movement and distribution of empty trains, the report says.
“By the results of the Sunday meeting in Krasnoyarsk, a decision was taken to set up in Siberia a coordination centre to regulate cooperation of all sections of the haulage process,” the head of the RGD Company said.
