As many as 31 people were hospitalised in Bratsk with a diagnosis of acute intestine infection

IRKUTSK, October 15 (Itar-Tass) — As many as 31 people were hospitalised in Bratsk with a diagnosis of acute intestine infection. All of them are in a state of a moderate to serious state, Tass learnt on Saturday at the main administration of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies for the Irkutsk Region.

The patients include 23 workers of the Vozrozhdenie (Revival) enterprise, building a submarine tunnel for the East-Siberia-Pacific oil pipeline near the Ust-Ilim water reservoir as well as eight citizens. According to preliminary data, the food poisoning with salmonellosis took place as a result of consumption of fancy cakes with albumen cream.

Representatives of the Rospotrebnadzor (Federal Service of Supervision for Public Health) are stationed 40 kilometres away from the Bratsk base of builders.

Hospitals of Bratsk and the Bratsk district allocated additional cots in case of an increase in patients.
