Medvedev makes reshuffles in Russian Armed Forces

Under the decree Maj. Gen. Vladimir Gradusov was appointed as Assistant Commander of the Air Force

MOSCOW, October 14 (Itar-Tass) — Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on the dismissals and appointments in the Russian Armed Forces. The document was posted at the Kremlin website on Friday.

Under the decree Maj. Gen. Vladimir Gradusov was appointed as Assistant Commander of the Air Force; Col. Andrei Bulyga was appointed as the chief of the logistic support planning and coordination department in the Central Military District; Lieut. Col. Andrei Yefimov – the chief of the missile artillery service in the Southern Military District; Maj. Gen. Fraiz Salyev – the chief of the technical support department in the Central Military District; Col. Mikhail Khvostenkov – the chief of the missile artillery service in the Eastern Military District.

Under the same decree the president relieved Rear Admiral Vitaly Ivanov from the post of the naval communications chief – the deputy chief of the Pacific Fleet staff for communications and Lieut. Gen. Igor Sadofyev, the aviation chief – Assistant Commander of the Air Force.
