KRASNOYARSK, October 14 (Itar-Tass) — Wildfires are raging on the territory of almost 1,500 hectares in three Siberian regions – Zabiakalye, Buryatia and Tuva.
By this morning rescuers managed to put out 18 fire seats on the total area of 1,262 hectares, the press service of the Siberian regional department of the Emergencies Ministry told Itar-Tass.
Over 1,895 rescuers and 349 fire-fighting units are engaged.
According to the space monitoring, early on Friday another six thermally active spots that may turn into large fires were registered.
The Western Siberian department of the hydrometeorological service reported that within 24 hours 4 and 5 class fire danger is possible in several territories of Siberia.
