VLADIVOSTOK, October 14 (Itar-Tass) —— Fourteen new forest fires were reported in Primorye territory in the past twenty-four hours and a half of them were either fully extinguished or localized. But seven fires continue to destroy the taiga on a territory of 188 hectares, the regional emergency center said on Friday.
Since the beginning of the year 214 wildfires were registered in Primorye on a territory of 6.4 thousand hectares.
Weathermen predict the fire season may last until the end of November.
