WASHINGTON, October 14 (Itar-Tass) —— The United States is sending a team to Moscow to inform Russia in detail on the reported Iranian plot against Saudi ambassador in Washington, State Department spokesperson Victoria Nuland said on Thursday.
She recalled that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov asked U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for additional information. “We will be sending a team to Moscow,” Nuland said.
She also said the United States had a direct contact with Iran over the issue.
“We have had direct contact with Iran. I’m not going to give you any further details,” she told a regular briefing.
