MOSCOW, October 14 (Itar-Tass) —— The head of the penitentiary service in the volatile North Caucasus Republic of Dagestan and his bodyguard were wounded by unknown assailants late on Thursday.
Police said the car of Muslim Dakhayev came under gun fire from a passing car in the capital city of Makhachkala. A spokesman of the regional penitentiary service told Tass Dakhayev was wounded, but there is no threat to his life.
His bodyguard was heavily wounded.
