Shuvalov replaces Kudrin as chair of Financial Market Development Council

Kudrin chaired his last meting of the council as its head on Monday, October 10

MOSCOW, October 12 (Itar-Tass) —— First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov has been appointed to head the Council for the Development of the Russian Financial Market.

Shuvalov has replaced Alexei Kudrin, who has been dismissed as finance minister and vice-prime minister. Kudrin chaired his last meting of the council as its head on Monday, October 10.

The president’s Council for the Development of the Russian Financial Market was created in order to improve governmental policy in this field.
