10-year-old girl dies of heart failure during sports class in Sverdlovsk reg

According to the spokesman, forensic evidence proved that the girl had a sick heart but was there was no record of that fact at the school

YEKATERINBURG, October 12 (Itar-Tass) —— A ten-year-old girl died of heart failure during a class in physical education in the Sverdlovsk region, a spokesman for the regional administration of the Russian Investigation Committee told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.

According to the spokesman, forensic evidence proved that the girl had a sick heart but was there was no record of that fact at the school.

“Investigators are interrogating the girl’s schoolmates, parents and teachers. Apart from that, they are establishing how often health checks are conducted among children studying at this school. Investigation is underway,” the spokesman said.

The tragedy took place in the evening on October 11. After a jog in the gym, the girl felt sick and died shortly after.
