A passenger motor ship carrying 60 people has run aground in the Yamalo-Nenets autonomous area

MOSCOW, October 10 (Itar-Tass) —— A passenger motor ship carrying 60 people has run aground in the Yamalo-Nenets autonomous area, a spokesman for the Urals regional emergencies centre told Itar-Tass on Monday.

“The Meteor motor ship ran aground in the river Malaya Ob some 35 kilometers away from the village of Muzhi. According to preliminary data, no one was hurt,” the spokesman said.

The accident took place at about 15:30 Moscow time.

“Three boats have been sent to evacuate passengers from the stranded ship,” the spokesman added.
