MOSCOW, October 10 (Itar-Tass) —— Moscow hopes for Poland’s active role in the resolution of missile defence questions between Russia and NATO, State Duma Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Konstantin Kosachev said.
“Only recently relations between Russia and Poland were in the zone of risk because of the U.N. missile defence plans. The fact that they were not implemented has led bilateral relations out of the risky zone,” Kosachev said at a videoconference between Moscow and Warsaw on Monday, October 10.
At the same time, he admitted that risks remain, as some questions have not been resolved so far “in the context of relations between Russia and the U.S. and between Russia and NATO.”
“We shall hope for Poland’s active role in the resolution of these questions,” he added.
