MOSCOW, October 10 (Itar-Tass) —— A peak of flu epidemics is expected in Russia at the end of the current year or the very beginning of the next year, Russia’s chief sanitary doctor Gennady Onishchenko told Itar-Tass on Monday.
According to Onishchenko, the situation concerning flu rates so far is normal. “The situation is normal in Europe and in the northern hemisphere in general,” he noted.
Nonetheless, he said flu epidemics might be expected in a few months. However, in his words, there are no grounds for worries. “The scenery is traditional and no new viruses are expected this year,” he added.
