Police officers and the Russian Investigation Committee are checking the involvement of the destroyed militants in the murder of the Guliyevs family

NALCHIK, October 8 (Itar-Tass) —— The passport of the killed engineer of the the Baksan Neitrino Observatory was found on the militants destroyed in Kabardino-Balkaria, sources in the law enforcement bodies told ITAR-TASS.

On October 7, unidentified people killed chief engineer of the Baksan Neitrino Observatory Dzhamal Guliyev and his wife Marina Kozhemyakina. Their bodies with bullet wounds were found in the house.

“Several hours later, in the morning on October 8, officers of one of the OMON detachments of the Russian Interior Ministry destroyed two militants at the moment of their detention when they offered armed resistance. There are no losses among police officers,” a law enforcer said.

According to him, “while examining the site of the incident, commandos found a Kalashnikov submachine-gun, three pistols, a lot of ammunition, as well as the passport to the name of Dzhamal Guliyev stolen after his murder.”

“At present, police officers and the Russian Investigation Committee are checking the involvement of the destroyed militants in the murder of the Guliyevs family,” the source said.
