No misunderstanding between Russia, Belarus leaders - Lukashenko

"We have gone a long way and managed to preserve all good things that have left from the Soviet Union times", said Belarussian President

MINSK, October 7 (Itar-Tass) — All misunderstandings have been removed in relations between the Russian and Belarussian leaders, and “close and open” relations have been established, Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko said at a news conference for Russian journalists on Friday.

“We must respect each other,” the Belarussian leader noted. “A special feature of our relations with the Russian leadership is that like nobody else we openly, honestly and directly criticize each other, express our opinion and don’t hide our moods, conclusions and so on behind diplomatic wordings,” he stressed.

“We have gone a long way and managed to preserve all good things that have left from the Soviet Union times. This testifies to openness and closeness of partners,” Lukashenko summed up.
