YEKATERINBURG, October 7 (Itar-Tass) — The number of children with food poisoning increased to 74 in the Sverdlvosk region, the region’s health ministry told Itar-Tass on Friday.
Moreover, three adults were also hospitalized with similar symptoms.
According to the local investigative department, the preliminary version of mass poisoning is low-quality products.
The region’s health ministry names salmonellosis as preliminary diagnosis.
Forty-five children and three adults were hospitalized. Two children remain in a grave condition.
The incident took place in a kindergarten in the village of Tsementny, the Nevyansk district, on Thursday.
The investigation is underway.
