"I would like to point out fine relations between our two countries in the fields of culture and sports, and, first of all, of course, in the trade-and-economic sphere"

THE HAGUE, October 6 (Itar-Tass) — Relations between Russia and the Netherlands develop splendidly, Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, has told Itar-Tass in an exclusive interview ahead of his official visit to Moscow, scheduled for October 19-21.

"I would like to point out fine relations between our two countries in the fields of culture and sports, and, first of all, of course, in the trade-and-economic sphere," Rutte said. As an example he mentioned Dick Advocaat, coach of the Russian national soccer team.

"We are very strong countries in the field of energy. The Netherlands and Russia also interact perfectly well in the field of agriculture," the Premier pointed out. "Our two countries are major partners for each other," he said. "These relations have been developing since long ago, ever since the times of Peter the Great, who visited the Netherlands. Beginning from the 17th century, the Dutch people have been willing to develop relations with Russia. This is part of our national history," he recalled.

The interview of Prime Minister Mark Rutte of the Netherlands will be broadcast in full on the Russia-24 television channel in the "Formula of Power" cycle and published in Rossiiskaya Gazeta.
