31 vocational school students hospitalized with enteric infection in Sverdlovsk reg

Eight children sought medical help overnight from October 4 to October 5. By morning, the number of patients increased to 17

YEKATERINBURG, October 5 (Itar-Tass) — As many as 31 students of a vocational school were hospitalized with enteric infection in the town of Verkhnyaya Pyshma in Russia’s Sverdlovsk region, a spokesman for the local administration of the Russian consumer rights protection authority (Rospotrebnadzor) told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.

“Eight children sought medical help overnight from October 4 to October 5. They had symptoms of enteric infection. By morning, the number of patients increased to 17. In all, 31 students of the Yunost school were hospitalized,” the spokesman said.

Local prosecutor’s office has launched a check. An investigation is underway.
