IRKUTSK, October 5 (Itar-Tass) — There are no wildfires in forests and parks of Bratsk, but the emergency situation regime remains in the city and the region, the local branch of Russia’s EMERCOM said on Wednesday.
“No new fires have emerged over recent day,” the source said.
In the Bratsk Region there still remain seven fires, where two are localised. There are 1,755 firefighters and 119 vehicles extinguishing the fires.
On Wednesday, additional 69 firefighters, 13 special vehicles and EMERCOM’s two Il-76 planes will join the group.
The emergency authority reports that the police detains every day about 10-15 people, violating the rules of visiting forests. Law enforcement and fishery authorities organise joint inspections in forests and by the river /Angara/ in the territory of Bratsk and the region.
