SOCHI, October 4 (Itar-Tass) — The low-cost airline Avianova performs flights from Russian southern cities of Krasnodar and Sochi with slight delays, a spokesman for Basel Aero, which manages these airports, told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.
According to the spokesman, a Krasnodar-Moscow flight scheduled for 08:30 a.m. Moscow time was delayed till 11:10 a.m. Moscow time, while a flight from Sochi to Moscow scheduled for 09:10 a.m. Moscow time was delayed for one hour.
A plane from Krasnodar to Surgut with 146 passengers onboard will take off at 16:15 Moscow time, as scheduled. A flight from Sochi to Yekaterinburg will be performed as scheduled.
Avianova performed all its flights from southern airports scheduled for October 3, the spokesman stressed.
Earlier, Avianova has notified the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency that it would continue its operation at least till October 9. In all, from October 3 till October 9, the airline is scheduled to perform 952 flights (67,834 passengers), and 1,848 flights (12,820 passengers) in the period from October 30 to March 23.
In an official release, the Avianova press service said the company continues its operation to fulfil its liabilities to passengers.
In the meantime, passengers might demand refund for air tickets already booked by means of a simplified procedure, sending information about the number of the ticket reservation and banking requisites by e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org. Corresponding information about the refund procedure is available on the website of the company, the document said.
