MOSCOW, October 1 (Itar-Tass) — Workers of federal public sector workers will get 6.5-percent higher pay as of this October 1.
“Resources of the federal budget will be channelled to boost payment funds for workers of federal public, budgetary and autonomous establishments of education, health, culture, science, etc.,” the Russian Ministry of Health and Social Development told Itar-Tass. “The number of workers, engaged in federal public establishments, totals 3.7 million.
Labour remuneration funds are also raised for workers of state academies of sciences and their subordinate establishments as well as workers of federal state bodies and civil personnel of military units, offices and subunits of federal bodies of executive power where law provides military or similar services.
“This is the second increased in labour remuneration funds at federal public sector establishments,” the ministry noted. “The previous indexation was carried out in June also by 6.5 percent.”
Thus, the labour remuneration fund of federal public sector workers has risen by 13 percent during this year, which is higher than forecast inflation for 2011 (6.5-7.5 percent).
As for public sector workers at the regional and municipal levels, a decision on raising labour remuneration funds are taken, appropriately, by regional and municipal authorities.
The ministry also reported that according to monitoring of new system of labour remuneration to public sector workers, the average pay of workers, calculated thanks to all sources of financing, totalled 27,192.3 roubles in the first six months of 2011.
