MOSCOW, September 30 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia is concerned over the economic situation in European neighbouring countries, spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Lukashevich said on Friday.
“Russia is following attentively the development in the Euro zone,” he said. “We are concerned over the situation of our neighbours and are interested in a systemic decision to be taken in the Euro zone, which will allow averting a fatal scenario,” he pointed out. “This is important for us, because the European Union is a very important partner for Russia and about 40% of our gold/forex reserves are denominated in euro,” he underlined.
