MOSCOW, September 29 (Itar-Tass) —— The former Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin was left to head the National Banking Council, Russian presidential aide Arkady Dvorkovich told reporters on Thursday.

“Despite the presidential decision to dismiss Alexei Kudrin from the post of the finance minister, according to the president, he is a good specialist in finances and macro-economy, therefore, he is left to head the National Banking Council, anyway, until a new finance minister is appointed. Kudrin is also left at the post of the chairman of the Presidential Council for Financial Markets, where his professional skills can be also needed,” the presidential aide underlined.
