BISHKEK, September 28 (Itar-Tass) — China will close its border with Kyrgyzstan for a few days while the celebrations of the 62nd anniversary of the People’s Republic of China continue.
The state border will be closed since October 1 on the initiative of the Chinese side in connection with the celebrations of the 62nd anniversary since the country was formally established (on October 1, 1949) , a source from the Kyrgyz Border Guard Service for public relations told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
The Torugart and Irkeshtam border checks points on the Kyrgyz- Chinese border will be closed until October 9, the Kyrgyz Border Guard Service said.
Over the past six months the Kyrgyz- Chinese border had been repeatedly closed for a few days, which was mostly connected with different holidays celebrated in China.
