MOSCOW, September 27 (Itar-Tass) — Director of the federal drug control service (FSKN) Viktor Ivanov and Deputy Chairman of the State National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan Duishon Chotkorayev have signed an agreement on cooperation between the two agencies.

“Our cooperation has lasted for years. There have been some successful operations, but now we have a new legal platform, which is capable of making our anti-drug cooperation more effective,” Ivanov said. “The amount of seized drugs in Kyrgyzstan has increased 23-fold over the past two years.”

Chotkorayev supported his counterpart to say the agreement will allow the two sides to intensify cooperation. The details were discussed behind closed doors.

As reporters were told, the agreement will pay special attention to Russia’s financial, material and logistics assistance to the Kyrgyz state service for drug control.
